CUTTING CHROME PIPE |
Chrome pipe can be cut with a pipe slice or an hacksaw, but a hacksaw is preferred because chrome pipe is so tough that it will soon damage the blade on a pipe slice. Do not be tempted to use an abrasive disk and angle grinder to cut the tube as copper particles can be toxic.
When cutting chrome pipe a hack saw or junior hacksaw is recommended as the chrome plating is so tough that it will soon damage a pipe slice. Once you have cut the pipe with an hack saw it is a good idea to remove any burrs with either a de-burring tool or some abrasive paper.
