can i tile onto brick and also render?

Post by Andrew »

Not much more to say really! It will only be for the reveals / returns of a window. The sides (reveals?) are back to brick, and the sill is mortar.

I can plaster okay, but there's absolutely no spare depth to play with.

Thanks!

The correct one for the tiles.

I'd be tempted on both projects to wet the area with WATER, just WATER NO PVA to stop the brick, render, blocks pulling the adhesive to quickly and cracking it.

Why not bond Plasterboard onto the sills and then tile?
