Tanking not priming

Just to double check, If I apply tanking (liquid or membrane) to plasterboard in a bathroom, shall I take it that I do not need to prime it as well?

I used the Dunlop tanking system and that comes with primer.

i think thats for priming the board, you dont need to prime the tanking
