I think firedoors are measured in time, rather than thickness.

Which situation, are you wanting to place a firedoor?

If its a business, and seems like a special requirement, then I think you contact your local building inspector for advice.

Fire Safety

Fire safety is crucial in houses of multiple occupation, people living in these circumstances are ten times more likely to die in a fire than those who live in ordinary owner/occupied properties. Most people die in fires by smoke inhalation and poisoning, not from fire itself.

There are three key principles involved in such fire protection works:

Contain the fire in the room where it breaks out. This is why doors have to be of half hour fire resistance with self-closures. Doors must fit snugly and the door furniture must function properly. The prime reason is not to stop fire getting in, but to stop fire and smoke getting out of the room and blocking the…
Staircase which constitutes the main means of escape in most cases. This is backed up by:
An integrated mains connected smoke alarm system.
It is also important that communal areas and hallways have:

Emergency lighting to common parts is recommended and when installed must be fused separately from the existing lighting circuit and on a battery back up.
Fire doors installed that are self closing, with three hinges and supplied with a combined heat and smoke seal to the sides of the door and the top.

Take a look at Removed. Mod 2, thats where we got our fire doors from for our offices.

I'm sure the OP has found the answer in the 8 years since the question was asked. Mod 2.
