BUILDING GARDEN FENCE ON TOP OF A WALL

We have a 2.5 ft garden wall and wish to build a wooden fence on top of it. Has anyone got any tips/pics to help with the construction please

only tip I have is be aware of the planning regs and check what total height you are allowed to construct to (typically 2M in back graden and 1M if close to roads)

You don't want to put it up and be forced to remove/change it afterwards!

also be aware that the wall and foundations may not be able to support any extra weight not the physical weight but the wind and leaning on it

what size is the wall is there any peirs!!

does it lean dip or is it cracked at all!!!
we are all ------------------still learning
