Newbe meets painted wall

Post by Mr_Craven »

Afternoon folks, Soon about to start my first project (Destroying my bathroom/Getting a screaming from the missus)

I've tested the painted wall with the old duck tape and it came of easier than wrapping paper, so in short what do I do next? And what exactly is causng the problem?

Not flash with cash (Thus it's my project) so all suggestions need to take this into account

Cheers in advance

1 get a bladed scraper( the type that has a changable blade) and scrape as much of the paint off as poss, and sand the rest!

2 prime the walls with BAL prime or such other (NOT PVA)!

3 set out you tiles (dry) to workout cuts and such.

use good brand materials, take your time doing small amounts at a time.
remember, as long as you dont leave addy bare on wall you can stop and come back to it another time.
GOOD LUCK :thumbright:
IF IT WERE EASY ITD B BORING!
