mate just dropped a pc off for me to look at ,panicking like you wouldnt believe
something come up on screen saying "your pc is being hacked" etc etc
so he turned it off and has phoned the bank up and cancelled ALL his bank cards :lol:

I said look im not being funny here but do you really think if someone was hacking into your pc they would tell you

just another stupid virus saying click on this link and we can repair it for you ..oh and it will cost you 20 dollars :roll:

believe it or not its the 3rd one like that i have had in the last 2 months ,the other 2 looked like a virus tranfered via msn (yep all families have kids messing about on them)

oh well keeps me in beer money

They do tend to prey on the uninformed, misinformed and the stupid.

I remember a while back now clicking on something that said my comp had a virus so I dutifully downloaded the program and it found loads, but wouldn't remove them, so I went to there website paid for the full version and it removed them. Then I ran a virus check for a website and it went nuts and uninstalled the "spyware checker" I'd just installed. I was not best pleased and cancelled all my cards etc.

Two days later the virus checker company emailed me, turns out being dyslexic has its advantages as I'd put in the wrong card number, and they have the balls to ask for the correct card details!!![js] Cheeky gits!¬

Moral 1; paranoia is good and don't trust anyone or anything coz they're preying on stupid people like you!

Moral 2; don't ever assume you not stupid!
