How big is the window?

Timber casement windows are constructed with mortice and tenons.

The main frame is usualy 3x2 upwards, if your matching existing windows you will get an idea of the timber sizes required.

Do you want to make storm proof windows?

You can use par softwood or a more expensive hard wood such as mahogany.

heeelllooo and welcome baz1906 :welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

in general you will need quite a few tools like
mortice chisel twin pin marking gauge gouges bevel edge chisels

and if you cant get pre-moulded timber sections a router and various cutters

although if your doing stormproof you will definatly be better with a router
we are all ------------------still learning

Further to the tool list you will also need a Tenon saw and some wood drills.

You could use a table saw instead of a router however the rebaits would require cleaning up. I would only use a table saw if you have one already and do not have a router.
