Putting in a new handrail & spindles for a client, bit concerned about the height of the existing bannister on the landing, seems a bit on the low side.
I know it comes under building regs/H&S and I used to have the figures, but can anyone confirm the current (Scotland if it makes any difference)Regs for:
Minimum height of the handrail to floor.
Minimum spacing for the spindles.

In England the following applies;
900mm for handrail height
Spacing such that a 100m ball can not pass through.
In Scotland I think it is between 840mm to 1000mm for handrail and the same 100mm for spacing.
Hope this helps, you could 'google' for it.
