INSTALLING BASE UNITS

Ive done my datum line and the floor is out. Dropping down at the left hand side about 10mm. is it best to work from the low point and extend legs, or high point and reduce legs where neccessary?

When fitting base units the most important thing for me is to make them high enough so that the appliances will fit under the worktop.

I believe the most common height for a washing machine is 850mm and so make sure that you can get your appliance under the worktop and remember to make allowances for any floor tiles etc.

start at the high point have the top of the base unit at 870 this allows for the plinth to be trimmed if nessacery(cos you cant make the plinth wider)as the floor comes up.

You have quite a level floor there compared with some.

If you have not done so already mark all the base units on the walls so you have a good idea what goes where. After you have levelled all your base unit heights through you can simply measure down to the floor to check the height.
Just rember to drop a 3' level on the floor square off the wall incase the floor is sloping down
