I could do with a bit of advice.
I am fitting a breakfast bar with rounded corners. The worktop has a pro-formed edge on both sides. My problem is this. When I round the corners the pro-formed edges are cresent shaped, so that when I come to fit the laminate edge stripe strip I have to shape a piece to fit. Has any one got any tricks for doing this? I've not been happy with the results I've got so far
Hope I've explained the problem clearly enough for someone to help.

generally if im edging worktops i fit the strip using evostick contact adhesive. put it on both the worktop and the edging strip. wait till its gone off then stick the 2 parts together.
I always go from the bottom edge and shape the top to fit. to do this i take my block plane to it till its quite close to the surface and then use a file to take it down the rest of the way. go easily though as its easy to slip i guess. but ive done a canny few like that and there always fine

Thanks for your replies.
I've never done a breakfast bar top with 2 pro-formed edges before. When I'm making a breakfast bar out of standard worktop, I rip the edge off, so that it is square on all sides. This makes edging it easier and I think it gives a better finish. However, with this top I'm not going to able to do this. I guess that I will have to spend the time shaping and sanding! Might not make much money on this one!
