Creaking door
I have recently had a new door fitted. The door is a lightweight moulded door and is fiited on two hinges. It creaks like crazy. I have noticed the lower hinge is not cut out of the door frame but the upper hinge is cut out of the door frame, could this be the problem? I am grateful for any help.

The most posible reason for hinges squeaking is there poorly cut in and
are out of line
Check that the hinges are cut in flush on the door, adjust if nead be
Undo the screws of the hinges to the door frame by half a turn except the
top one to each hinge
Close the door slowly standing on the hinge side of the door and see if
the hinge pulls away from the frame and pack out accordingly
Or a bit of oil might help but that only masks the problem not cures it
Better still call the wood butcher back to fix it

There would be less trouble in the world
