Dewalt flat wood bits
Post by ultimatehandyman »
In a previous topic I mentioned Dewalt flat wood bits, unfortunately I can't find the topic But today I was fitting some door handles and tubular latches and I used one and so I took a picture.
I'm not 100% certain that they are made by dewalt as I bought them from Ebay, but they are exceptional quality bits.
The picture is not brilliant as it has been so dark

They are shaped a little like the attached picture.Geewizz wrote:Unusual looking things. Looking at them end on, are they Z shaped?
I'll try and take some better pictures tomorrow. They are by far the best flat wood bits I have ever tried.

same as those prices when i bought the larger ones individually. the smaller sizes i managed to get for a tenner for a set from 10mm to 24mm
think the sizes are 10 12 14 17 20 and 24
i find them to be an excellent bit and great as they go in my snappy quick chuck so super quick to swap em over. plus they look cool and a bit different to normal flat bits

Thanks Fin, they are the babies.
I'm going to get some more of these as I only have 12,20 and 25mm.
I do have some normal flat wood bits, but they are useless compared to these Dewalt ones.

heh no bother. from memory ive got 10, 12, 14, 17, 20, 24, 26, 28, 32, 38
there is a possibility that i have more of them as my roll is pretty full. i also have a spare set of the smaller sizes somewhere.
also if you search us ebay they will be available in imperial form aswell. well they were a while ago.

I have moved away from real prizes in favour of cash.EJJ150847 wrote:On my xmas list
Maybe they should be a prize in next months comp!
John
It is a major hassle for me to package everything up and then take it to the post office and queue up for 20 mins to post the prizes, and the cost of posting things these days is expensive.
With cash I can just post a cheque or if it is an overseas winner I can paypal the money to them
