Loose floor tiles

Been to view a new house, but it has a few problems one of them is that in the bathroom upstairs a couple of the floor tiles are loose!

Not much of an expert in this area, can I simply glue tham back down with some no more nails etc. if I do go ahead and buy the house?

Should I be worried that they are loose in the first place, about 4 are loose!

The suspicion would be that the base under the tiles isn't good enough. As you are looking to buy the house, I'd be using it as a negotiating point to get some money off (unless it is already at a really cheap / realistic price). I'll also guess the tiles that are loose are in the main traffic area in the middle of the bathroom floor.
To put this right properly would involve lifting the tiles and starting again. Have a look at the "sticky" "Can I tile over floorboards?" above.

I'm sure that the tiles were level with the rest of the upstairs floors and so it looks like they have either tiled directly on top of the floorboards or replaced the floorboards with Marine ply!

I will lift a tile on the second viewing.

I lifted a tile and they have been laid directly ontop of the floorboards.

I am now in negotiations, hopefully I will get a decant discount because of this!

Negotiate a minimum of a grand ( 1k) a bathroom floor ( up to 6metres ), as putting it right, is a nightmare,very time consuming, very labour intensive, aswell as the cost of all new materials and avoiding extra damage to existing surfaces / materials around the floor... good luck

I have gone in at 5K less than the asking price which was Â£130000
