NVQ Carpentry.
Hi all just joined the forum, nearly qualified site chippie,21.
wanted to get some opinions on the modern day citb apprenticeships. when you talk to the blokes on site they say they did like 5 years at college and got taught everything where as us new apprentices are gettin rushed through just doing paperwork and no practical at college just on site.
cheers dave

hi all . 1st post . i am on a college based ica course in carpentry and joinery night classes two nights a week one night theory the other practical. have really enjoyed it so far, half way through the 2nd year now. i am now looking for jobs in this area but with the present climate dont hold out to much hope. The course is nvq level 2 and although have been in the building trade is certainly an eye opener on the amount of different skills and types of jobs undertaken by the joiner.
