ieee1394 firewire

Post by steve75 »

I occasionally have use of my father in laws mini dv camcorder but have to rely on him to transfer the contents of the tapes to dvd for me. I am looking to add a fire wire card to my pc so i can do this myself. Has anyone any recommendations. i am after something that comes with basic video editing software and don't want to spend a fortune as it is only for occasional use. :help:

Why not borrow the disc that came with the camcorder and install it on your computer, for free.

the typical firewire will come with editing s/w just like the typical cd-burner comes with burning s/w.

U-lead used to (maybe still is) a top brand in video editing
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
