The pipes are jinxed! I carefully removed the two Yorkshire elbows as I couldn't remember which was the leaky one. Cleaned up the pipe ends, cleaned two new endfeed elbows, and fluxed and soldered all. Refilled the systen, and smack me with a wet kipper, when it got hot it leaks worse than before  Tomorrow, I'll cut the pipe, push on a speedfit stop end, as I have to go away for a few days.

PS. Perhaps the mouse would have done a better job?
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

Having removed the elbow complete with pipe stubs, the gap between the pipe and socket seems large, so the capilary effect failed. I'm making a new piece and using compression couplers to restore the circuit. But not til I come back on Thursday. I've soldered about a hundred ends recently, this is the only one that has given me grief.

Offers of help have been pouring in from animal lovers across Canada
A fat lot of use that is! I think the only useful thing they could offer are serving suggestions.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Strip the fur of the cats, the mice and the rats and put to one side - these can be used later for making gloves and scarves.

Split open the cats, the mice and the rat and remove the inside bits and pieces. The can be used for making soup at a later date.

Stick the mouse up the arse of the rat and stick the combined rat and mouse up the arse of the cat.

Baste the whole with ample butter and stick the whole lot in the oven with an onion shoved in the cats mouth also stick two pieces of chive in each ear of the cat to add flavour.

Serve piping hot with new potatoes and carrots.

And afterwards try some 'Spotted d*ck' with custard.

Recommend a god quality Rioja such as Faustino I with the man course.

I still need a mouse repeller for the loft. I don't have any faith in those ultrasonic emitters, I reckon the mice can get used to them. The plumbing is all done and working now. And the ceiling has a nice smooth coat of skim, and as soon as it's ready, I'll give it a coat of alkali-resisting primer.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.
