Close Down Parliament for good?
I have this great theory that the best thing we could do in the UK is to close down Parliament et and fire all the twits that fall asleep in their and all the civil servants.
And replace it with what you may ask.
Well with the internet - as it is every decision, every expense is put on some voting web site and we the people decide - a bit like the idea behind Parliament and the democratic system in the first but now without the corruption, back-handers and sleaze it would be a guaranteed democratic system.
We invented the Parliamentary system so we shuld be the ones to end it for it has become totally corrupt.
I think the Grumpy Corner is just great

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Let's face it you could moan until you are blue in the face about the whole government system, even change the way we decide things democratically but it will get corrupted eventually by those who know how to fiddle the system to their advantage. Pigs in the trough the lot of them.
What we'd need is a system where the bad ones are got rid of speedily Even the democracy that we are supposed to have in the UK is not truly democratic as so many can't be bothered to get off their arses and vote.
The Greeks were the closest to the ideal democracy, they all turned up and voted in person but women were missed out so not 100% democratic.
It's a no win situation, you can't please everyone.

Failure means you just didn't get it right yet!

OK forget that idea
A couple of days ago I sent a whinging email to the official BBC web site about the return of that git J. Ross to our TV screens (God help us all).
Anyway I got a reply from the BBC telling me basically that to was too late to make an objection and that he will be returning
The end of another great British institution - the BBC. They can now join the ranks of all the other 500+ crappy TV channels as far as I am concerned, I now just object to having to pay for their tacky 'services' whereas I never did before.
I tried to reply to their rely only to be told it was an automated response and that incoming e-mails are not allowed. So THEY can send e-mails to them but I cannot send e-mails in reply to THEM. Errrr 'Stepford Wives' comes to mind.
So you are right Bludall. THe whole ferking system is corrupt from top to toe.
Hold on I have a great new idea. A new system. I will will call it Communism. Now here the people......

dont start me on the BBC ..useless bunch of T******
ok then i will start ..
2009 they have the sole rights to screening MotoGP ,trouble is they are only showing the main race and not the 125 and 250 class like Eurosport used to
they are hiding it behind the red button under "other sport"
thing is we have 3 british riders in the 125 class
to prove a point it was announced ages ago that Kawasaki were pulling out of MotoGP in 2009 ..it took the BBC over 2 weeks to update their web site with this breaking news ,just goes to show they aint that bothered about MotoGP
god knows what mess they will make of the F1 ..or is it a case of all the budget is going towards F1
your right about Woss though ,wouldnt pee on him if he was on fire

Yes it was noted just how slow the BBC were on MotoGP. The reason is simple the BBC is managed and run by such ferking do-gooder eejits that they don't even now what a motorbike is - other that that it is a a "dangerous, nasty, nosy machine used by men, yes ferking MEN and like boxing, rugby and all those other nasty dangerous sports they should be banned and replace by Come Dancing and nice programs like that"
When I lived in the USA the PBS (Public Broadcasting Channels) channels had to have a weeks worth of tacky time spent begging for money as there is no Joe Public pays for tacky TV over there it is all tack. We are heading in the same direction with the BBC I hope as they have lost the plot completely and deserve all they get from now on.

democracy is a farce.... too many people think they have a say and a vote.... too many differing opinions..... parties taking an opposing view just because they are the opposition party ..... they never listen to the public..... all their campaign promises are lies & none are ever held to account..... we are sheeple!
