Central heating boiler

Post by The Weegie »

Yes my boiler which is less than a year old isn't working again fith time this year. There is a constant red light on. Switched the boiler off and turned up the pressure to just under 2. Switched it back on and it worked for 3 minutes.

On the phone to scottish gas for an engineer to come out. Why does it always happen in the winter :cussing: :cussing:

Vokera compact 35HE

Scottish gas said that they will not be able to get out until tommorow.

Yeh right I explained that my mother in law who is 75 is staying with us after being released from hospital.

Someone will be out in a couple of hours they said.

If you ever need a Vokera engineer that is the best, and also happens to live on your doorstep.

Danny.

Thanks for the offer but I'm with british gas 3 star cover.

The last time 3 months ago, exactly the same problem the engineer looked at me as if i was a dafty saying "You just had to turn the pressure valve". Lets hope he says that this time because I have turned the valve 6 times.

I wouldn't suggest otherwise for a boiler that's under warranty.

You could mail Danny though and ask for an opinion  mention thescruff and I'm sure he would say what is really wrong.

Update on the boiler.

British Gas engineer came out said that he couldn't fix it due to it being under warranty :wtf:  :boxing: He informed me to contact Vokera.

Contacted Vokera. They informed me that the best they could do would be to get an engineer out the next day. :cussing:

Vokera engineer comes out has a look at the boiler and then says has anybody touched this :wtf: I says "No why" He didn't reply. He then states that it is a process of elimination. 5 minutes later he informs me that he has changed the ignition board.

So far no problems :thumbright:

You must be the last person in the world to know about the BG service con.

:wtf: are you paying for a service contract when it's under warranty, and it's not your job to contact Vokera.

I would ask about a refund and see them cough.

The scruff. I explained to the wife that we didn't need british gas due to it still being under warranty. She wouldn't listen
