went through the motions

electric 4505 units gas 5450 they say a savings off £24 with there bill being £764!!!!!

i actualy pay £633 for the amount quoted from scottish power
the problem seems to be that they go on postal addresses which would put me with british gas or southern !!!

cheers big-all
ok thanks, didnt realise thats how they work it out, so maybe not such a big saving if any then. You would have thought they would show a comparison from all suppliers with the amount you use

put u switch into google and you will get several comparason sights in the r/h side

most do use full details including present supplier 'this is why its crutial to know exactly how much you use over the year and translate that into present prices including discounts ect as copmparason sights can often "forget" them

putting in your present spend wont help either as it doesnt accutatly equate to anything unless you are paying the exact amount over the whole year which is very unlickly as your more likly to be over or under paying by around 20%!!!

A friend of mine uses them; but I'm a little dubious. I'm about to change suppliers; so I will investigate further.

what you must do is choose a site that askes for you present supplyer/s
if it askes for more than your postcode its likley to be reffering you on for a quote so egnore them and go for another site

expect to save less than half because they often "forget" discounts you already get

check a minimum of 4 sites
if you dont put an actual years worth off consumption in you will only get an approximation better to put kwh in rather than money per month/year

Did they catch you in a shop, and try to hook you in with a 'win a mini leaflet'?

I did have a look at thier site, but make sure you read the small print, yes, they can guarantee cheaper than BG and Electric etc, but that is only on thier tarrif price, when you read more, wait for it....... they will charge you a standing charge every month, I think its £3, plus they want an extra £1.50 or so per month to join thier club, as you know its a discount club thingy.

I dont like the idea of paying everything on thier card, and they will give you money back or something, but you must use thier card for everything, even if you to tesco's, if you use it, its like a loyality point thing, where they will give you cashback. Mmmmmm... if it looks too good to to be true, then it usually is.

I think I will stick to my usual BG, at least I know where I am with them.
I would rather want something I dont have, that have something I dont want

Utility Warehouse have come under fire from many sources - mainly through their recruitment practice which seems to be very close to a pyramid scheme.

General rule seems to be check, check then check again - then just for luck, check it all out again.
