Makita or Green Bosch Cordless driver/drill...???

I need a new cordless driver/drill. The old one's charger melted a few days ago.

I don't need hammer as I have a couple of corded ones for that.

It will mostly be used for screwing but also occasional drilling work into timber.

Because of the need to drill stuff I think I want one with a gear box to give high and low RPM (and associated torque).

I've only ever bought Bosch green or blue (for stuff I know will take a stuffing) until the last purchase which was a Makita circular saw.

I'm really pleased with both manufacturers and would like any recommendations and experiences you've had to help me choose another one.

I'd like two batteries included but am not fussed with bundles of gadgets or cases.

I guess I'd like to keep the spend to approx £100

Can anybody help?

Bosch green are fine for DIY.

I had a bosch green corded drill for 10 years and I really abused it

I have the bosch 12v twin pack and it's been a good kit for the last 7 years and is still going strong!

Unfortunately it didn't show up on Monday (didn't think it would) so hopefully sometime today before 18:30

This is my first order from Screwfix, do they tend to be reliable regards delivery?

It can be a bit hit and miss, it's not there fault it is probably the couriers!

Screwfix normally despatch fast!

In the past I have ordered and it has said that it would be delivered on a certain day, but it has been a day late on some occassions. It does say on their site that it will "normally" be next day delivery, but it is not guaranteed, unless you pay extra for next day delivery.

It can be annoying especially when you are waiting for the materials, now I either order well in advance or else I pay for the guaranteed next day delivery.

Nice piece of kit, again thanks to UHM for the pointer to where to get it (for the same price B&Q were wanting for a green 12V equivalent BTW)
