Tile cutter

do i need a special tile cutter for
porcelain floor/wall size 330X500mm 8.5 mm thick
i will be putting them on the bathroom walls

Best to beg, borrow or hire the proper wet cutter with a diamond blade.

As scruff says, need a quality diamond blade on wet saw. Definately need the diamond blade for porcelain due to the hardness for the tiles.

Any good hire shop should have these for hire on a weekly rate.

most hire shops will hire a Rubi tx700n for porc's, use a heavy duty wet cutter ( not plasplug ) with a motor of minimum 400watt, for awkward shaped cuts, remember use diamond hole saws for any fixings afterwards, shower screens, acc's etc... ebay sell the japenese cheap hole saws at approx £3 - £5.00 per 6mm / 8mm /
