Mosaic tips

Do the professional tilers have any tips on the best way to tile mosaics. I've got about 4m2 to do in a bath/shower area (pic attached). The bath is level - should I start from there and work up or batten round and work up & then down? Obviously I want to keep the cutting to a minimum.

The walls have already been treated with WP1.

Is CTF3 OK for glass mosaic tiles?

Go for mosaic fix.............stagger the jointing (Like brick bond)

Also.....use a grout float to pad the mosaics into the cement.

Silcon the bath/wall first, and then start from there.

Use a decent adhesive, we use BAL mosaic-fix for this type of work, great quality adhesive. Expensive but premium quality. I would also strongly recommend speaking with the manufacturer of the tiles as they are glass & some adhesives can bleed through them. I don't see a problem with using CTF3 but would use AD1 with it too, but again check first

Seal all your lips on bath & shower area first & start along bath, invariably you will have some cuts somewhere, if you start at floor then you will probably have cuts along the bath which proves to be unsightly so start along the bath, if cuts are needed along the floor then at least there out of eye line & if any chip they're better along the floor than the bath with a nice silicon bead to hide.

Like Only-Me says, use a brickbond pattern with the mesh mosaics, keeping the tiles themselves level with each other, but staggering the whole mesh, this breaks up the grout line between the mesh's

Cheers guys, I'll get some mosaic-fix. I can use the CTF3 for the kitchen tiles later. Thanks for the brick bond tip too

Would you use a thin solid bed or a small 3mm notch?
