Wet Room + FLoor Heating

Post by Steve 200 »

Hi Peeps, am fittin a downstairs wet room, have just cast the floor slab with the drain in, am lookin at the followin kit http://www.floorwarmers.co.uk/tpm375-he ... 2-50-p.asp when installin this does it go under the tanking layer or is it ok to be used above the tanking area in the tile adhesive?

Or are there better kits other than the one i have shown?

What tanking are you using Steve?

I always recommend that you speak to the tanking manufacturer & also the UFH manufacture to get the best advice as there is a lot of conflicting advice on this subject. They all have technical helplines

How long has the floor slab been down? Needs to thoroughly cure before laying anything on it too, recommended times are approx 1" per week

We use a lot of Bal products & the WP1 is a good kit Steve if you need any recommendations, easy to use & nice finish to it. They have an excellent technical helpline too, great customer service.

Not used a lot of the Mapei stuff so can't really comment on their tanking
