Silicone over bath

Hi everybody,
I have a little problem. The gap between the bottom edge of the tile and the top of the bath is 10mm. Any ideas on what I can do to make it look decent? I can do silicone sealant with masking tape for the edge but, is there anything is available in the market to fit which is better than silicone/ Also should I silicone in 2 layers to get a decent finish (otherwise as the gap is big I find it difficult to get a decent thick edge) I aked this question on the plumbing forum but was suggested to ask on the tiling forum.

10mm!!!!!!

was that the tiler that you employed!!

howabout jacking the bath up, as the finish of silicone 10mm will not be good

maybe "outside the box" but depending on how far youve got with your bathroom install would it be possible to raise the bath by 10mm?

I would get some small boarder tiles and run them round the bath or some PVC window frame edging ( the edging is available from Wickes) and can be silicone in place

Yep, its the tiler I employed. Wasnt that good.
The bath is a free standing bath. So there is no way I can jack it up.
Anybody know much about the teleseal or whatever they have recomended in this website?

The teleseal is supposed to be good, but there are alternatives.

As already mentioned you could use quadrant tiles

Or I am sure there is another seling strip available for around baths.

If the bath is freestanding? why not add an extra course below the original..by un plumbing the bath..and moving it while you tile, be a shame to spoil it with a dodgey seal

Thanks guys for all the advice.
Cutting all the adhesive and replumbing will be too much of a job now especially as the flooring has been done.
I have decided to try a piece of window beading and see how that looks.

It was suggested trying the PVC window frame edging and being cheaper and easier to find I decided to use it and see.
