stainless steel wire and hanging fittings

Post by dirtydeeds »

im pricing a job, one bit of which is to install a shelf. the back edge and one side are not a problem

i have to support the free corner with the stainless steel wire and fittings you see in shops

ive looked through the hafele and hettich catalogues, i cant find the wire or the brushed stainless steel fittings :?

your help would be much appreciated

Galvanised wire from any suspended ceiling supplier, looks poor though. For short lengths of SS wire tig filler wire would do, I think they are about 1.2m after that stainless mig wire, may have to buy 0.5Kg though.

Screwfix do a small range in amongst the chains and cables and stuff. I used a load of wire shelving kit from a shop fitter supply store in Bristol once. Spring loaded tesioners on the floor and ceiling and hex nut clamps for perspex shelves. Cable strung between the lot. The cables they supplied wheren't long enough so I used a 20m roll of bicycle brake cable from a bike shop. Sorted!!
