Hi,
I'm in the process of getting my bathroom sorted out. I've just put some aquapanel in the area that will have a shower enclosure.
Instead of taking off the plasterboard on one of the walls (external wall) I just screwed the aquapanel to the existing joists over the plasterboard - as it would have probably been too much effort to remove it and pad out with joists. Should this be ok?
Of course, as I have done that there's 12.5mm of aquapanel sticking out! Therefore my plan is to just screw some spare 12.5mm plasterboard I have up against it onto the remainder of the wall onto the joists. This will also mean I don't have to get rid of the wallpaper & paint on the existing surface. Again, should this be ok? Should I use anything extra than plasterboard screws? Maybe some additional adhesive?
The plan then would be to tile on top of the new aquapanel and plasterboard - which will be a nice clean surface.
Thanks!
Overboarding with aquapanel & plasterboard

Should be ok.
Aquapanel have rules about allowing an air gap behind the sheet, but for domestic use it should not be a problem, more here-
dot & Dab aquapanel
