Microsoft Can't Sell Word in the U.S.

A judge has ruled that Microsoft is no longer allowed to sell Microsoft Word in the United States because of a patent infringement.

XML files can be opened and edited by almost any text editor, so why are these other companies not up in court too?

Dont know to be honest perhaps the others have paid royalties or something , the artical mentions that MS were fined for it earlier in the year maybe they didnt cough up
