i'd disagee, I dont trust them to seal, so would use extra solder! in which case, an normal end feed is just teh same, & cheaper!

Done the solder ring stuff, read what the guys here said and thought I'd give end feed a go.

To be honest I had about 6 practice goes and they were pretty good. It shows the difference between trying something on your workbench nicely held in a vice and doing it for real upside down with your head stuck under the floor...

I like a challenge. That's why I have a wife and a cat :lol:
Nothing you do is a waste of time - especially if it can be used as a bad example by others...

I have only used end feed twice-

and once on a gas pipe (in my own home)

urgghhhh... wire wool, i hate the stuff!

Good tip about not using ur fingers to apply flux, doesn't have hurt when it gets in the cuts caused by the wirewool!

A kitchen scouring pad is just as good, or easy clean strip (cant remember the trade name right now)
