bal single part.
got aload of porcelain to fit and it was a few months back since i did porcelain. i remember using bal single part and also dunlop large format. what i cant remember was if the bal was a quick setting like the large format. i know the large format is quick setting though not rapid which is ideal for what i am doing but was going to use the bal.
any ideas?

i should make a note of what i think of all these products. as i am relativly new to it i have been trying all sorts of stuff and its difficult to remember what i think of it.
one thing that concerns me is that if i am putting up alot of porcelain up in one day then its alot of weight for stuff thats slow setting, is this why dunlop do the large format that goes off a bit quicker?

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight, just use plenty of spacers. I've no idea why the dunlop is fast setting, maybe because it's designed for floor areas?
I've not found anything better than the Bal Single Part, I just mix up a great big tub and it lasts me for a few hours, it'll be a much better adhesive than the dunlop too.

nightmare trying to get some more of this stuff. topps only have the grey in and i want white.
everyone round here sells the dunlop stuff. dont want rapidset so may have to go with dunlop stuff and add an flexible admix.
i have primed all the walls with apd but only have 2 bags left. what do you think about using the dunlop ontop of this primer. the tech blurb sounds identical.

was going to but i needed it for tuesday. with it being bank holiday i was told it would be end of next week.
really like just mixing up a bucket and not having to rush whilst getting them on. with rapid always seem to be mixing and it wastes the day.
anyway, i am happy now i dont have to use topps. they give different advice depending on who you talk to
