Just now downloaded this and running from cd, as I'm off sick and bored

Seems excellent.

Fastest operating system I have ever used, and ships with open office and firefox.

Not certain what other programs will work with it though.

It really flies 8-)

Dont try to install windows software on linux as it will not run unless you use WINE and even then not all software is supported, search for linux equivalents for your windows software.

Should try Linux Mint, based on Ubuntu but seems nicer.
I hate using Windows, I think my stress levels go up when I log into it. Lucky I only use it for playing games and AutoCad for now
