Floor tiling. Shower Tray ontop of tiles or Tiles to tray?

I am about to begin the construction of my bathroom after many weeks of deconstructing the previous one. However I have a quick question to ask.

I am installing a shower tray and is it best practice to tile the floor first and then install the shower tray ontop of the tiles, or would you install the shower tray first and then lay the floor tiles, cutting tiles to suit the curve of the shower tray? Obviously the latter option sounds fiddly but makes sense but I dont know if there is a prefered way?

Be carefull with this, as you mention "Curve"

Some makes of enclosure have to be fitted the European way ( tile first ) or they don't fit.

Check the tile thickness and see if it comes within the adjustment.

When I tiled my bathrooms, I tiled the floor completely then put the shower tray on top, as per Manufacturers Instructions.

Layed on bed of mortar and siliconed the edge.

Depends on what tray you have, what does the tray MI's say.
