moving BT phone socket
If someone was looking to move their original BT phone socket for any reason where would they be able to purchase a new BT phone socket box kit, rather than just buy the extended socket box kits you can buy. Any links would be welcome. Obviously this is a hyperthetical question as i know legally BT have to do this

Have you a BT socket at the moment that you could move, the only place I have found to sell the NTE5 type of socket are these.

I was going to suggest Ebay as a source if the existing box is broken.
As for moving the socket and wiring, when I wanted two lines moved in our last house BT wanted to charge me more than £100 each line. As there was enough cable I moved them both myself.
Took about half an hour tops. Just remember to note which terminals each wire is connected to inside before pulling the wires through.
