You can always tell a Yorkshireman,
But you cannot tell him much.
But you cannot tell him much.

The kitchen was completed a couple of months ago, and looks lovely. I don't know what the fitters did with the cabling but assume they did the right thing. I hope so anyway.
As far as the contractor who put up this ceiling I would imagine he doesn't care enough to be embarrassed. It's been more than two years since we started renovationing the house, the last 15 months or so has been a nightmare putting right all the things this builder did wrong, there wasn't one single thing he did that was right. Most of the things he did didn't become apparent until sometime later. An example being under the bath when he fitted the bathroom, the floorboard had been cut short of the joist, a small piece of batten was screwed to the joist to take the weight and those screws hadn't been fully tightened. This came to light when the bathroom had to be redone after we noticed the tiles were looking uneven because they were becoming loose, this was because he tiled on walls that were too dusty and uneven, he got around this by putting the adhesive on very thick, eventually the tiles would of started falling off the walls by themselves.
