Depends upon which make and model, tell us if you have to post back.

Try the Fn key plus the F7 or F8 key, on some they turn it brighter or darker.

Hold down the Fn Key and tap the F7 key a few times.

Cannot find any reference to which keys it is other than a couple of references to the F7 and F8 keys.

Someone with an Asus may be along but I cannot think of anything esle to suggest. Unless you try the other F keys with the Fn key held down.

You could try the Asus Support on their website:
http://www.asus.com/entryflash.htm

On mine F6 is darker and F7 Lighter.

On the other laptop it's F7 darker and F8 brighter.

Try it without the fn key as well.

On the Mac it's f1 and f2.

Unless you try the other F keys with the Fn key held down.
Knew we would get there eventually.

It is also worth seeing what the other F keys do with the Fn key held. You can usually reverse the action by keying the next F key up or down the numbers.
