Ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ is a cleanup utility you can use to remove unneeded files from your computer, e.g. Internet Explorer history and cookies. It can also cleanup your registry by removing unneeded keys. I'd be careful with registry optimisation as I found this page http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=18859 where someone used the registry cleaner who had Norton 360 installed. Ccleaner had indicated an Norton regsitry key was "unidentified", when the person removed the key Norton 360 help no longer worked. Ccleaner can backup the registry before you remove any keys and this is something I'd definately recommend! Be careful with the Cleaner -> System section as "Empty Recycle Bin" is ticked by default, just in case you don't actually want to delete any of those files permanently.
