I got it from www.dmtools.co.uk for a song and no complaints with them, at all, on price or delivery.
Damn, it's heavy! 7.5kg No need to clamp the work down as the routers weight stops the even the tressles from moving.
The soft start is very smooth for such a big machine and the fine adjuster fence is better than most. It's only possible to use the swarf ejector / sheild with an extraction system, so when i get one, i'll let you know how that messures up but i expect it will be fine. It's surprisingly comfortable and the weight adds a certain steadyness and consistancy to the cuts. The electronic no load speed circuits are equally excellent as you can hear the 2300w motors' variable sound and the controller circuits, actively and constantly, fine adjusting making them "definately" part of the tool.
Everything is right where you need it; power switch and plunge lock. It seems well weighted and although that takes away some of the feel, on the type of work it is designed for, it comes out as a bonus as it's reluctant to drift with the wood grain, knots or any other inconsistancies. My only gripe is that I found the fine adjuster for the plunge stop hard to get at while "dropping in" onto different rebate levels.
The materials choice and build quailty is excellent though and also, as usual with dewalt, it came with a 4 metre power lead to extend its working area. Great tool!
