4 weeks for plaster!

Post by uhoh! »

I was just about to proceed with tiling when i read some info on the Bal Blue Star adhesive tub saying that plaster needs 4 weeks (4 weeks!) before tiled over. I've made patch repairs from where the previous tiles were taken off, do I really have to wait 4 weeks (4 weeks!) before I can tile over there???!

How bad can it be?! Does everyone do this?

:?

no the 4 weeks is usually for a bond and set wall as its the bonding that takes the tme to cure , but if you have just skimmed or patched in then 2-3 days should be fine! just remember to prime the walls with an acrylic primer first! cant remember if bluestar has a built in primer or not, should say on the tub! :thumbright:
