Matching old to new

Post by Mooncat »

For the caravan I have an old computer, 90Mhz Pentium Win95, for creating txt files in Notepad, no USB. So I can transfer them to my main computer, XP64bit, serial port, but no floppy drive. Is there an adaptor from serial to USB? I have a serial data transfer lead but never had success in using it.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

If your old computer has a floppy drive you could get an external USB floppy drive to plug into your main computer.

Win95 doesn't have USB support but there's sure to be a way around that...

anyway, USB/serial leads are quite common. The link shows Maplins version although there are many others
