UHM Forum load time
Can log onto the Ultimate Handyman site no probs, but when I log into the Forum takes up to 3 minutes to come up on the screen.
Started a couple of weeks ago, at first thought the site was down then one time I was trying and got distracted for a few minutes it finally popped up. Anything else I'm doing on internet seems to be working as normal
Has there been any changes to the Forum? or is it my laptop (toshiba satellite with 1Gb RAM and wireless connection) at fault.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Loading fine for me.
Which browser are you using?
Have you cleared out the temp files recently?
Do you have Ccleaner installed?
If not, install it and follow the CCLEANER Setup Instructions

The server is a very fast one and there is only the one site on it.
Quite often it will time out, and you can tell when it's playing up by all the double posts we delete.
Had this .at times please excuse if I post this twice....

Re: UHM Forum load time
Try pinging this website and you should get a response like this :
Pinging ultimatehandyman.co.uk [94.76.241.28] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 94.76.241.28: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=57
Reply from 94.76.241.28: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=57
Reply from 94.76.241.28: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=57
Reply from 94.76.241.28: bytes=32 time=20ms TTL=57
Then try pinging another website, if the response times from th eother site are alot quicker than this site then it's this site that has an issue (which it doesn't from what you can see from my response). If this does have a slower response then it your pc. Try running an anti virus, then run a anti spyware and then run a registry cleaner.

Re: UHM Forum load time
That was the strange thing about it, everything else was responding as normal, including the UHM main site - just the slow start on the UHM Forum. Went on for a couple of weeks but seems to have settled now.
Thanks for the responses, I'm a bit of a technonumptyand its nice to have somewhere that people tolerate me!
