Not sure if this is the right section for my question but here goes.
In my bathroom, I am tiling onto floorboards + WBP plywood layer and an aquapanel bath panel. (New frame for bath panel also has to be fitted).
Its only a small bathroom with one bath panel required along the longer side of the bath.
Questions:
(1) What would you fit first prior to tiling - ply floor or bath panel?
(2) If ply floor is fitted first, would you fit ply floor so that the bath frame and panel rests on top of the ply floor or would you fit ply level with edge of bath and just rest/secure the bath frame and panel to the floor boards.
(3) If bath frame and panel is fitted on top of ply floor would you also fit the ply floor so that the front 2 legs of the bath also sits on top of the new ply floor. This is the way the old thin plywood floor which I removed, was fitted.

Re: Advice needed regarding tiling floor and bath panel
Couldn't see this post in general.
fit bath. Ply floor up to feet. Fit frame for bath panel. Tile floor then scribe and tile bath panel to fit.
Better option is to have the board up and away. Ply floor with thickness of ply to suit. Bath panel frame. Tile floor then do bath panel.

Re: Advice needed regarding tiling floor and bath panel
Hi Shazz.
Royaloakcarpentry is right, its better to remove all boards but if thats to much than............
First of all make sure that the bath is standing solid on the boards meaning no flexing of the floorboards. If the floorboards under the legs are flexing fix this first to prevent problems with the (silicone) seal between bath and walls in the future.
I would advise to run the plye over the whole floor and thus under the bath legs.
Then put a batten frame on the side of the bath and attatch the aquapanel you have to that frame making sure that it is set back far enough to allow tiles on top of that and you'll be flush with the bath edge. (the batten frame sould be snug so it supports the side of the bath to prevent flexing of the "plastic" bath on that side when you sit or lean on it.)
Make sure that you make an access so you can get to the tap connections and waste trap in case you have any problems or blockage in the future. It saves you having to break the panel out if you ever need access to it. Don't forget to put accessable stop cocks/valves in the water supply pipes to the hot and cold water taps of the bath.
Use a flexible floor tile adhesive to lay the floortiles on plye or any wood. It allows movement of the plye without loosening the tiles in time.

Bath legs should always be stood on lengths of 4 x 2 timber.
