Converting into PDF
I need to email off a couple of reports in the morning.
I dont want these to be able to be altered easily, Ideally I would send them as PDF files, but how?
I will type them up in word, but how do i change them .wps to .pdf?

Hitch,
How big are the .wps documents?
If less than 6MB then do it online for free:

Re: Converting into PDF
PDFCreator, just drag and drop the docs and save as.
Or if you email them over I can do it and send them back.

Re: Converting into PDF
Hi all my first post so be kind
Just recently I had exactly the same problem I needed to produce reports and convert them to pdf format.
I tried various tools and online resources and all seemed to work ok but, by far the easiets way was to load the word files into open office and simply use the convert to pdf option on the main toolbar, since then I tend to use open office for all my work rather than Microsoft Office, it is open source and therefore free I have also found that there is a version of open office called oxygen office(available from sourceforge) which has all of the templates and extras that you find in MS Office already built in and is also open source.
here are the links.
Open Office and Oxygen Office
hope this helps

Re: Converting into PDF
I use OpenOffice as suggested by edjon. I think it is far more flexible than MS (especially 2003) but it can use up a lot of processing space when starting up the computer. I found it better to disable the "auto-load" feature, or better still, go and make a coffee while you are waiting!
Regards,
James

Re: Converting into PDF
Hi James,
Yes I have noticed that as well so I don't use the autoloader but I have used it for Spreadsheets, and Database work as well as Word Processing and I really like the product and think it's great that it is opensource I have also found that if you have a problem with it the support community are very helpful
