waterproof coloured grouting

Post by roger44 »

Can someone tell me if it possible to get coloured grouting for a shower tiled area that is waterproof, or are they all white?

Mapei Ultracolor Plus would be my recommendation. It comes in a wide range of colours and gives a very good finish. Just make sure you follow the instructions on the bag. Bear in mind cement based grouts are water-resistant rather than water proof.

many thanks to all, I was also worried about mildew resistance in the shower area. I find most of the current white grouts are not that good in that respect.

The Ultracolor Plus has anti-mould properties. They also do silicone sealant in matching colours. Ensuring adequate ventilation the the bathroom will help to reduce condensation and mould.
