Before you go getting that big ass jack hammer, have you done a drill test to see if it all is concrete & not just heavily skimmed blockwork or brickwork. Also it looks like the top 5 - 8 inches is cast concrete coz of the crack down the entire side & it goes under that door frame aswell, doesn't it? Or is it just butted upto the house. Im only asking coz those jackhammers are realy powerfull and it could potentialy collaps under you or worse! & we dont want that!!!

You would be better off with this size, as said before the other might damage the building.

Check it is solid concrete I have broken steps like that using an old fashioned bolster and club hammer, could use a sledge hammer if you feel like it.

As said before drill a few holes to check.
