Re: firewalls
VI,
Is it just the firewall that you use or the full Internet Security?
Download a new firewall installer from:
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/free-download.html
Select your OS from the dropdown list. Save the download to your download folder or somewhere where you can find it.
Uninstall the old one and install the new one.
I have Comodo IS on one and just the firewall on another and both updated OK the other day. Must have been a bad download, possibly just had a break in the actual data download and so it becomes corrupt.

You can always tell a Yorkshireman,
But you cannot tell him much.

Re: firewalls
Dave, i've tried both but it hits a snag & fails will try again with another download of firewall only
maybe it's because i don't want to join in with the reports thing

ok, tried again
choices i ticked were
1 - firewall with optimal proactive defence
2 - NOT joining threatcast community
3 - not using comodo secure DNS servers
comodo firewall setup wizard ended prematurely (yeah, know the feeling), because of error 1603

Re: firewalls
Follow the instructions in this Comodo forum post:
http://forums.comodo.com/empty-t25178.0.html
That should clean out your prvious version and all the registry links too. Do a reboot afterwards.
Once cleaned out, download and install the latest version from:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Comodo_Intern ... d6234.html
Click on the 64bit link if you have a 64bit Windows OS, otherwise click the download link.
