How do you get candle wax stains off of terrace tiles?
That will teach be to be romantic! Wrapped up warm last night and enjoyed a candle lit glass of vino with Mrs M, and when it came to extinguish the candles I knocked one of the containers over and spilt wax on the terrace tiling.
I have scraped up as much as I can, but there are marks on the tiles that just wont come off.
Any ideas? (Do you need a photo for this one?)

Two options to try. Ice pack over the stain and use a scraper. Heat gun or hair drier to melt the wax and then put kitchen roll to absorb the wet wax.

Place newspaper on top of the wax and use an iron on top of the paper.
Any direct heat will only cause the wax to further sink.
Ice won't work because of the very low temperatures required to 'freeze' wax.

Don't take it personally......

Re: How do you get candle wax stains off of terrace tiles?
Thanks for the advice guys. We tried ironing it over some kitchen roll and a fair bit has come out (and we have some very well pressed kitchen roll).
Going to give it another bash over the weekend and will let you know.
Cheers

James,
Instead of kitchen roll, use brown paper with the iron.
Works perfect for getting wax off clothing.
