Autocad training

I have some of the basics, but would like to get a little more in depth especially with the 2D stuff. Quick ways to do things etc.

Not sure if anyone here has done any traing on it?
Courses are £500+ so thats not really an option for me.
I see theres 'Autocad for dummies' books, and dvds etc on ebay....

Is there one thats best, and not going to be a waste of money?

Does it have to be autocad?

That is a very expensive piece of software if I remember rightly

What about autodesk inventor?

That is similar to autocad, or perhaps one of the open source Linux packages?

not sure about which books are best hitch, but if you look on amazon they often have customer reviews of books which are helpful, it might point you in the right direction.

uhm, i have never met anyone other than businesses that has actually PAID for autocad

I have been told Autocad for Dummies will be adequate, so will order a copy up later. 8-)
