The jury is out on this one, but for the majority of mobile networks, the answer is 'no'.
Something to do with the way digital texts are transmitted and then received by your phone.

You could ask your network supplier.

There are a couple of mobile phone apps coming on the market for the Smartphones and Androids. They more auto-forward than divert, so you have to have them go to the Smartphone/Android first and then onto your non-Smart mobile rather than the other way around.
