There is a company called ellitile their tiles are lose laid, but seal together at the tile edges, mainly used commercial property and mainly wood plank effect.

Eletile use a floating floor system as rugrat said.

However the glue is very poor and will become loose after a very short time. Eletile do not accept complaints, so you have nothing to fall back on when it becomes loose.

They do tile and wood effects, but I would avoid it like the plague.

Pay the extra and get LVT laid. I would avoid doing it yourself unless you dont mind tying a few times, as its one of those things anyone can do and it will look ok(ish), but takes someone who has done it before to get it to look like a real wooden floor.

I would agree that if you want LVT to look good you need to have had a bit of training and the correct floor preparation is needed

Also the best wood effects are far more expensive, Mflor Authentic plank looks the business

If you have the money beveled edge LVT looks alot better on wood effects.
