Hi, I'm new on her but not new to DIY, been doing that for 25 years. Problem is, I know very little about alarms. Guess what, I have an alarm question!
Here we go:
My mums house alarm bell box stopped working, the alarm system is about 20 years old and the panel says Bently F133. Ive removed the old bell box and fitted a new box (Challenger Spirit AU1000).
I found the clearly tagged 6 core cable from the control panel which goes to the 'Bell' and the wires in this cable are connected as follows:
connection 7 in panel: RED
connection 8 in panel: BLACK
connection 9 in panel: BLUE
connection 10 in panel: YELLOW
connection 11 in panel: GREEN
connection 12 in panel: WHITE
The instruction manual (leaflet!) in the challenger box gives 17 different wiring option depending on the system in use.
However the Bentley (of course) is not one of the 17! The main problem I can see is that there are only the following 5 connections available in the bell box:
1. STB-
2. HOLD OFF +
3. HOLD OFF -
4. RTN -
5. TRG -
The other connectors show PIEZO (2) and BATTERY + and -
Can anyone help? Please!
Ive included a link below to the Bentley manual showing the wiring layout.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Old alarm system new bell box......
Rich Ando knows a bit about alarms so may be able to help when he gets on next.

Re: Old alarm system new bell box......
The new bell box has a self contained battery and requires a hold off circuit and so you need to change some wires at the alarm box.

These can be a real pain in the arse, but I think the wiring above is correct.
